Engineered Around Fly Biology
The Black Lure Attracts
Horse flies are visual hunters. They detect the dark, warm shape of the lure and come to investigate — just as they would approach a horse or cow.
Flies Fly Upward
When a biting fly is startled or finishes investigating, its natural escape response is to fly straight up. This is hardwired behavior, not something they can learn to avoid.
Trapped and Eliminated
The upward flight path leads directly into the mesh cage above the lure. Once inside, the fly cannot escape and is eliminated by heat and dehydration.
Population Drops Season After Season
Each female horse fly caught is one that won't lay 100–800 eggs. Over weeks and seasons, the local population drops dramatically.

Reduces Populations
By catching egg-laying females, the Fly Cage disrupts the reproductive cycle — fewer flies each season.

Horse flies don't just annoy — they cause stress, weight loss, and injury in livestock. Place the Fly Cage near your pasture or barn and watch fly pressure drop within days.
Reclaim Your Backyard & Pool
Deer flies and greenheads make summer miserable near water. The Fly Cage works without any spray or chemicals — place it at the edge of your yard and enjoy the outdoors again.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I empty the Fly Cage?
The Fly Cage can hold a whole season of biting flies. There is velcro along the bottom of the cover, you simply release the velcro and shake out the trap at the end of the season.
What types of flies does the Fly Cage trap?
The Fly Cage is designed to trap biting flies: horse flies, deer flies, greenheads, and yellow flies. It is not intended for mosquitoes, house flies, or stable flies.
How does the Fly Cage work?
The Fly Cage uses a black lure suspended below the cage to mimic movement and body heat. Visual hunter flies are attracted to it and fly upward into the trap, where they dehydrate and die — no chemicals, no electricity.
How much area does one Fly Cage cover?
One Fly Cage covers approximately ½ acre of open space. For larger properties, we recommend placing multiple traps in high-activity zones.
How quickly will I see results?
Many customers report a noticeable reduction in biting flies within 3–7 days of setup, especially in areas with high fly activity.
Is the Fly Cage safe for pets and livestock?
Yes. It contains no electricity, chemicals, or attractants — making it completely safe for use around animals and children.
Does it require any maintenance?
Very minimal. Occasionally remove dead flies and keep the trap clean and visible. No bait or chemicals are ever needed.
