Our Story
Built by People Who Hate Horse Flies
The Fly Cage was born from a simple frustration: nothing on the market actually worked. So we built something that did.
The Problem We Set Out to Solve
If you've ever owned horses, lived near water, or tried to enjoy a summer afternoon outside in the eastern United States, you know the frustration. Horse flies, deer flies, and greenheads can turn a beautiful day into a miserable experience.
We tried everything — sprays that washed off in minutes, zappers that caught moths instead of horse flies, citronella that did absolutely nothing against visual predators. Nothing worked because none of it was designed around how biting flies actually behave.
Then we learned the science: horse flies hunt by sight, not smell. And when disturbed, they always — always — fly upward. That single biological insight changed everything.
The Fly Cage was designed in the USA. It's built with powder-coated aluminum and marine-grade mesh because we believe that if you're going to solve a problem, you should solve it once and solve it right.

What We Stand For
Chemical-Free, Always
We will never add chemicals to our products. The Fly Cage works through physics and biology — and it always will. No exceptions, no compromises.
Built to Last
Powder-coated aluminum and marine-grade mesh aren't the cheapest materials, but they're the right ones. We build products that work season after season.
